Her current research activities are highly\ninterdisciplinary and mostly focused on the Development of low-temperature\nsol-gel synthesis strategies to attain metal oxide materials and the\nIntegration of functional thin films and self-assembled systems with\nsemiconductor and flexible substrates (Si-technology and Flexible Electronics \u2013\nElectronic Skin, Wearable electronics). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Prof. Silvia Gross<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dipartimento di\nScienze Chimiche, Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Padova. Padova, Italy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Website (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chimica.unipd.it\/silvia.gross\" target=\"_blank\">Website<\/a> | E-Mail: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"mailto:silvia.gross@unipd.it\" target=\"_blank\">silvia.gross@unipd.it<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her present\nR&amp;D&nbsp; interests are focused on (i) green\nand low\/room temperature synthesis of crystalline metal oxide, sulphide and\nhalogenide colloids by wet chemistry and colloidal routes, mainly miniemulsions\nand solvo\/hydrothermal synthesis at low\/room temperature and (ii) investigation\nof crystallization mechanisms of inorganic materials under not standard\nconditions (e.g., confined space), (iii) synthesis and characterisation of\norganically modified transition metal oxoclusters and oxothioclusters and\ncomplexes (M=Zr, Hf, Ta, Ti-Hf, Hf-Ti-Zr, Ba-Ti, Cu, Zn) and of functional\ninorganic-organic hybrid materials prepared by covalent embedding of\nfunctionalised oxoclusters into polymers by co-polymerisation reactions with\nsuitable monomers.&nbsp; This synthesis\nactivity is complemented by the time- and temperature- in situ and ex situ\ninvestigation of nucleation and growth mechanisms of inorganic colloids by\nspectroscopic (XPS, XAS, Raman, FT-IR) and diffraction\/scattering (SAXS, XRD)\nmethods, as well as by the characterisation of the synthetised materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Manuscript Submission Information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The issue is now open for submission of original research articles.
