{"id":2550,"date":"2016-12-16T10:39:50","date_gmt":"2016-12-16T08:39:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icmm.csic.es\/esisna\/?page_id=2550"},"modified":"2023-05-23T14:10:17","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T14:10:17","slug":"gonzalo-santoro","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.icmm.csic.es\/esisna\/gonzalo-santoro\/","title":{"rendered":"Gonzalo Santoro Domingo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I performed my PhD (2011) at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology (ICTP-CSIC, Madrid, Spain) on polymer-carbon nanotubes nanocomposites, with special emphasis on the development of vibrational microspectroscopic methods for the study of such materials.<\/p>\n<p>From 2012 to 2014 I was contracted as postdoctoral researcher at the P03 MiNaXS beamline of the PETRA III storage ring in DESY (Hamburg, Germany). During this period I was mainly involved in beamline development (e.g., new hard X-ray focusing strategies, new sample environments) as well as on different projects related to the use of Grazing Incidence X-ray Scattering (GIWAXS, GISAXS and GIUSAXS) as an in-situ time-resolved tool for studying kinetic phenomena in thin films<\/p>\n<p>From 2015 to 2022, I was contracted at ESISNA as postdoctoral researcher within the ERC-Synergy NANOCOSMOS project to develop the STARDUST machine, a unique Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) machine to unveil plausible mechanisms of interstellar dust formation in dying stars.<\/p>\n<p>I am currently Ram\u00f3n y Cajal researcher at the Insituto de Estructura de la Materia, IEM (CSIC) where my research is focused on the use of synchrotron radiation techniques for Soft Matter and Polymers.
