Founder of the research group ESISNA<\/a><\/strong> \u00abInterdisciplinary Studies Based on Nanoscopic Systems\u00bb since 2005. Visiting professor at the Czech Academy of Sciences, 7 months in Prague (2020-21), and at the University of Toulouse (1 month at Paul-Sabatier-CNRS) – 2022. Associate researcher at the Astrobiology Center <\/a>(2003-2015). President of ASEVA<\/a> (Spanish Vacuum Society) from 2016-2022.<\/p>\n

Principal investigator of the SEVERO OCHOA <\/a><\/strong>excellence project at ICMM (2024). Principal investigator of the ERC Synnergy Project<\/strong> NANOCOSMOS<\/a> (2015-2021)<\/p>\n

His field of research includes interdisciplinary<\/i> studies<\/i> based<\/i> on<\/i> vacuum<\/i> technology<\/i> and <\/i>nanotechnology<\/i> for complex and socially relevant issues, such as astrochemistry, the origin of life, catalysis, chemical synthesis on surfaces, or ultrasensitive biosensors.<\/p>\n
