The samples are mainly studied by LT and RT Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, but also by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, Surface X-ray Photoelectron Diffraction and many other techniques, in order to obtain a full structural and electronic understanding of the system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">In August 2008 I obtained a <strong>First Class Honour MSci degree in Physics and Astronomy<\/strong> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phys.ucl.ac.uk\/\"><strong>University College London<\/strong><\/a>, in the UK. The title of my master thesis was: \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Formation of an AuSi Eutectic on a clean Silicon surface<\/span>\u201d, and it was supervised by Prof. Ian Robinson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Research Experience:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">June \u2013 August 2007<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">: Trainee at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esrf.eu\/UsersAndScience\/Experiments\/StructMaterials\/ID03\">ID03 Surface X-ray Diffraction beamline<\/a> at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (Grenoble, France), supervised by Dr. Roberto Felici<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">September 2008<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">: Internship at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.london-nano.com\/\">London Centre for Nanotechnology<\/a> (London, UK) in the group of Prof. Ian Robinson<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">January 2009 up to date: <\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">PhD student in the ESISNA group at the Institute of Material Science of Madrid, Spain<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">June-August 2010:<\/span><\/strong><span lang=\"EN-US\"> Research in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.phys.tue.nl\/MMN\/\">Molecular Materials and Nanosystems group<\/a> at the Eindhoven University of Technology<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Published works:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-US\">A.
