Our collaborator, from the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), won the \u201cEpsilon de Oro\u201d prize to a professional life devoted to the study of Electroceramics and, in a great part, to ferro-piezoelectric ceramics. The prize was given at the XIII edition of \u201cElectrocer\u00e1mica, Reunion Nacional\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, hold at the \u201cUniversidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo (UIMP)\u201d site in the city of Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha, Spain) last 23 June, 2017.<\/p>\n

Prof. Villafuerte-Castrej\u00f3n got her B.S. degree in Chemistry, the M.S. degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Facultad de Qu\u00edmica, Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico, and the Ph.D. degree in Science from Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana in M\u00e9xico. She is working at the “Instituto de Investigaciones en Materiales (IIM), Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (UNAM)”, as \u201cInvestigador Titular\u201d and she is Lecturer at the School of Chemistry and the Postgraduate School of Materials Engineering at UNAM. She is the Head at the Laboratory of Chemistry for Ceramic Materials.
\nShe got the Gabino Barreda Medal at the School of Chemistry (UNAM) in 1980, the Medal of \u201cM\u00e9rito Universitario, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana-Iztapalapa\u201d, Mexico, in 1992, the \u201cDiploma al M\u00e9rito Universitario (UNAM)\u201d in 1998 and the Recognition \u201cSor Juana In\u00e9s de la Cruz (UNAM)\u201d in 2005.<\/p>\n
