Workshop on Interfaces in Advanced Ceramic Materials

On 26/09/2024, Drs. José F. Bartolomé and Sonia López Esteban attended a workshop dedicated to exploring the latest trends and challenges in the design and characterization of interfaces in advanced ceramic materials. It was held at The Institute of Materials (iMATUS) in Santiago de Compostela, Galizia, Spain.  iMATUS is a research center of excellence that develops cutting-edge science on new materials and their applications in health, environment, energy and industrial innovation.

This event was organized by the Spanish Chapter of the American Society and iMATUS and brought together researchers, students and industry professionals to discuss topics such as:

  •  The role of interfaces in the mechanical properties of ceramic materials.
  • The design of functional interfaces for specific applications (electronics, energy, biomedicine).
  • The most advanced characterization techniques to study interfaces.
