Dr. Acosta is currently Assistant Professor, since 2024 at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a team member of the «Micro and Nano Functional Materials» research group in the Department of Applied Physics.
From 2018 to 2024 she worked as an Assistant Professor in Mathematical Engineering, Architecture and IT Engineering Bachelor at the University Francisco de Vitoria.
In 2009 she obtained a grant from the High Council for Scientific Research to achieve a Ph.D. Degree (2015) at the Materials Science Institute of Aragón. Before, she was awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship at the University of Ulm (Germany), and had stays in the Institute of Crystal Growth in Berlin and Foundation for Research and Technology- Hellas in Heraklion (Crete).
