{"id":76,"date":"2018-01-23T18:51:11","date_gmt":"2018-01-23T18:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icmm.csic.es\/realm\/?page_id=76"},"modified":"2018-01-23T18:51:11","modified_gmt":"2018-01-23T18:51:11","slug":"techniques","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.icmm.csic.es\/realm\/crystal-growth-laboratory\/techniques\/","title":{"rendered":"Crystal Growth Techniques"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Czochralski (Cz) and Top Seeded Solution Growth (TSSG) Techniques are used.<\/p>\n<p>Czocharlski LAB is based on a Cyberstar puller with a middle frequency H\u00fcttinger (9.2 kHz) generator.\u00a0 The growth chamber incorporates an induction coil, and an\u00a0 insulating set up. It allows the preparation of single crystals under controlled\u00a0 atmosphere (oxygen and\/or inert gas) or in vacuum. The coil hosts Pt and Ir crucibles with 40 mm of diameter and height. Typically crystals with 20 mm of diameter and 50-60 mm of length are grown at a rate ranging from 1 to 2 mm\/h.
