The application of low effective voltages (&lt;10V) resulted in a fast transition into a very clear transparent state (T &gt; 75%) in the range of miliseconds (Figure).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-992\" title=\"BF-Transmission Vs Voltage\" src=\"https:\/\/wp.icmm.csic.es\/solgel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2012\/04\/BF-Transmission-Vs-Voltage.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"348\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wp.icmm.csic.es\/solgel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2012\/04\/BF-Transmission-Vs-Voltage.jpg 348w, https:\/\/wp.icmm.csic.es\/solgel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2012\/04\/BF-Transmission-Vs-Voltage-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This pioneering results account for the first usage of bacteria created biofilms for the preparation of optical devices, and opens a new tendency in the multidisciplinary research towards exploiting natural structures as potential hosts for advanced devices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>http:\/\/www.cnb.csic.es\/\/~meml\/meml\/Welcome.html<\/h5>\n<h5>E.
