Later, I pursued a Master in Theoretical Physics, focused in cosmology and elementary particles. During this period, my fields of interest became wider, and eventually focused in theoretical condensed matter physics. As a result, my MSc thesis was about this subject, under the supervision of Karl Landsteiner, from Instituto de F\u00edsica Te\u00f3rica (IFT-UAM), at Madrid.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">After finishing the Master, I have been hired by means of a state fellowship in order to continue my career. Currently, I am working in the Theory of Quantum Materials and Solid State Quantum Technologies\u00a0 group at Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid (ICMM), as a PhD student under the supervision of Ram\u00f3n Aguado.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">My line of research heretofore is the theoretical study on emergence of topologically protected Majorana non-abelian quasiparticles in semiconductor-superconductor platforms, and potential applications thereof to topological quantum computation.<\/p>\n<p>Publications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Non-Hermitian topology: a unifying framework for the Andreev versus Majorana states controversy<\/em>, J. \u00c1vila, F.
