I obtained both my bachelor\u2019s degree in Physics and my master\u2019s degree in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Condensed Matter Physics at Autonomous University of Madrid. During my bachelor\u2019s <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">courses I had the opportunity of joining ICMM twice as a student, to learn about qubit <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">physics and twisted bilayer Graphene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">It was in my master&#8217;s thesis (studying uranium-based superconductors using STM), <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">that my interest in exotic phenomena grew, such as topological superconductivity, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">majorana states and quantum information processing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Related to the last topics, sub-gap states, such as Yu-Shiba-Rusinov or Andreev <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">states, have aroused the interest of the community in recent years. The study and <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">control of the above states has been carried out experimentally by microwaves in <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">hybrid systems, demonstrating their capacity for quantum information processing. <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Furthermore, the emergence of topologically non-trivial p-wave superconductivity <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">provides a platform for the realisation of Majorana states, allowing topologically <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">protected information processing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">In my thesis, I will be working on theoretical theoretical description of these <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">phenomena, identifying sources of decoherence, interactions and their dynamics. <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">These physical phenomena will be studied by means of Green-Keldysh function\u00a0 <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">formalisms, in addition to implementing computational simulations of these systems for <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">their prediction of new characteristics.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am a PhD student in the Theory of Quantum Materials and Solid State Quantum Technologies group under the supervision of Rub\u00e9n Seoane and Ram\u00f3n Aguado.
