My PhD (2005) was devoted to strong electronic correlations in mesoscopic structures, Luttinger liquids and granular materials. I then did a postdoctoral stay in <a title=\"Karlsruhe Institute of Technology\" href=\"http:\/\/www.kit.edu\/english\/index.php\">Karlsruhe University<\/a>, where I delved into the physics of spin-qubits, dissipation and geometric phases. I also began working on graphene, which became my main research activity\u00a0during my second postdoc in <a title=\"Lancaster Univeristy\" href=\"lancaster.ac.uk\">Lancaster University<\/a>, and remains a strong focus today. Back in Spain\u00a0(2009), I returned to <a title=\"CSIC\" href=\"www.csic.es\">CSIC<\/a>, where I got involved in\u00a0the study of topological materials in general, and topological superconductors in particular.
