Soon after finishing the\u00a0military academy Elias Aguirre<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Chiclayo<\/a>, I started my studies of Physics at the\u00a0Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Lima<\/a>.<\/div>\n

After three semesters I got a scholarship funded by\u00a0The Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic<\/a>\u00a0to continue my studies (in Slovak) at the\u00a0Comenius University<\/a>\u00a0in\u00a0Bratislava<\/a>,\u00a0Slovakia<\/a>, where I finished the bachelor in Physics and the master in Astronomy and Astrophysics. During my undergraduate studies I spent some months investigating the\u00a0methods of computing the exchange energy in quantum dots<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0electron impact ionisation effect<\/a>\u00a0(experimentally) at the\u00a0RCQI<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Plasma Lab<\/a>, respectively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Before coming to Madrid, I worked for\u00a0HP Slovakia<\/a>.\u00a0In January 2012 I got a\u00a0CSIC<\/a>\u00a0Fellow (JAE Predoctoral Programme) and since then I am a PhD student at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM<\/a>), working under the supervision of\u00a0Dr. Ramon Aguado<\/a>.<\/p>\n

My current research focuses on the theoretical study of the Andreev transport and Josephson effect in realistic normal-superconductor (NS) and superconductor-normal metal- superconductor (SNS) junctions. Further focus of my research is the theoretical support to new experiments towards detecting Majorana fermions in condensed matter, emergent low-energy excitations with non-abelian statistics and with potential application to topological quantum computation due to their robustness against decoherence.<\/p>\n

Literature, poetry writing, football, running,\u00a0cooking<\/a>, etc… are also among my interests.<\/p>\n
