Dr. Elvira Paz, International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), Portugal.

Spintronics, nanofabrication and magnetic materials.

Title of the talk: Use of artificial intelligence with magnetic sensors for preventive maintenance

Short CV: Elvira Paz (F) is facility manager of the X-Ray characterization at INL. She was a staff researcher in the spintronics Research Group at the INL about 10 years. She received her PhD from the Material Science Institute of Madrid ICMM-CSIC (Spain) in 2010. Her research is primarily focused on the fabrication and characterization of magnetic micro and nanostructures. She widely worked on the development of spintronics magnetic sensors based on magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). She joined INL in 2011 where she was involved in the installation of the cleanroom, covering the ion milling and the three sputtering deposition machines management whereby she had to optimize all parameters necessary for the deposition of the different materials. She has a broad expertise in the full microfabrication process of devices in the cleanroom. Currently she is in charge of the X-Ray characterization techniques.
