Boren Xu obtained a bachelor degree in chemistry from Hubei University of Education in 2016, a master degree in polymer physics and chemistry from Sichuan University in 2019. In October 2021, Boren joined the Bioinspired Materials Group at the ICMM with a fellowship from the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Now his research interests focus on the design and preparation of new type electrolytes from deep eutectic solvents for supercapacitor.

He is a sports and travel person and also has a lot of interests in learning about different cultures and life.
