Dr. Isabel Sobrados de la Plaza, Mª Isabel Sobrados de la Plaza (female). is a staff scientist at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (CSIC), Spain. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry at Univ. Complutense de Madrid (1991). Scientist of the Energy, Environment, and Health department, she is also the Scientific director of the solid-state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance support laboratory of the ICMM. She has participated in 25 projects (IP in 4) Current MATBAPI-PRO, Ref. MAT2016-78362-C4-2-R). PLARASBAT, Ref. M-ERA.NET 2016. 120 scientific articles with more than 2600 citations.

Her principal research line is the study of solid-state batteries materials using NMR spectroscopy. NMR of Ion Conductors and the synthesis of new materials with high electronic and / or ionic conductivity for their use in electrochemical devices. Compositional, structural, and textural characterization of innovative materials, focusing on the relationship between structure and transport properties.
