  • November 11-19, 2021. Dr. Isabel Sobrados from the GREENER group has chaired and participated as a lecturer in the introductory course “Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of Solids 1” organized by ICMM and the Deputy General Secretary for Human Resources CSIC. This training course has provided knowledge about the theoretical bases of the NMR technique, the instrumentation used, the standard data acquisition method, and the interpretation of the results.

  • October 14, 2021. Dr. María C. Asensio from the GREENER group, ICMM – CSIC, has been honored as the 2021 University of Nebraska Distinguished Lecturer. This Lectureship is a distinction that the University of Nebraska bestows only very few visiting scientists. Dr. Asensio’s contribution to the University of Nebraska Research Council and the University of Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience has been a public lecture entitled “Electronic and chemical imaging of nanomaterials” The talk was presential and accessible by Zoom on Thursday, October 14, 2021, 4:00 PM Nebraska time.

  • October 13-14, 2021. Dr. María C. Asensio from the GREENER group, ICMM -CSIC, has co-Chair with Prof. Donglai Feng from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China,  the Special Session on “The Latest Developments in Synchrotron Radiation,” at the 10th Vacuum and Surface Sciences Conference of Asia and Australia (VASSCAA-10), Shanghai, China. Profs. Asensio and Feng have designed the Special Session with three main blocks (1) New light sources and their scientific program. (2) Developments of experimental techniques with Synchrotron Radiation, and (3) Contributions from prominent users of the  Synchrotron Radiation Installations. Scientists as Guy LeLay, Serguei Molodtsov, Yukio Takahashi, and Cheng-Maw Cheng, among others, have given insightful invited talks. The meetings have been accessible by Zoom.

  • March 15-26 and April 6-16, 2021. Dr. José Manuel Amarilla and Dr. José Antonio Alonso from the GREENER group have participated as lecturers at the two introductory courses to the Current Frontiers in Science that the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid organizes annually in spring.
