The research activity of the group is focused on the study of knowledge-based advanced materials of electroactive oxides (piezoelectrics, ferroelectrics, multiferroics, semiconductors and ionic conductors) with applications in smart devices not only for conventional electronics and microelectronics (sensors, actuators, energy harvesting, memory storage), but also for emergent technologies such as macroelectronics and flexible electronics. The development of new synthesis routes and preparation processes, together with the advancement in the knowledge of the physicochemical mechanisms ruling the processing-microstructure-properties relationship, allow us to reach our main objective: the elaboration of high quality functional materials.
