THE “INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES BASED ON NANOSCOPIC SYSTEMS” GROUP (ESISNA) (http://www.icmm.csic.es/esisna/) OF THE “ Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC)” IS SEEKING THREE POST-DOCS
1.- Surface photochemistry: In the framework of a Synergy Project, we are seeking a postdoc with experience in STM (or nc-AFM), XPS and other surface characterization techniques in UHV. The candidate will work in visible-light induced chemical coupling reactions on insulating surfaces using a low temperature non-contact AFM. (24 months contract)
2.- Chemical Functionalization of 2DMs: In the framework of the “graphene flagship” EU-project: «enabling materials», we are seeking a postdoc with experience in STM, XPS and other surface characterization/growth techniques in UHV. The candidate will work in chemical functionalization of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). (18 months contract)
3.- Laboratory astrochemistry: As a continuation of the ERC-Synergy project NANOCOSMOS, we are seeking a postdoc with experience in vacuum systems and laboratory astrochemistry to work with the machine called Stardust. The candidate will work on mimicking cosmic dust at AGB stars. (12 months contract)
