I’m a PhD candidate in the group Quantum Materials for Quantum technologies at ICMM, under the supervision of Maria José Calderon and Leni Bascones.

I obtained both my bachelor and my master thesis  at University of Federico II of Naples. During my master thesis I develop a strong interest in investigating 2D materials from a theoretical point of view. My master thesis, supervised by Professor Giovanni Cantele, was focused on investigating 2D bilayer graphene based heterostructure via DFT.

Indeed, my PhD’s thesis is focused on understanding quantum phenomena in moiré materials, in particular twisted bilayer graphene. The main goal is to understand from a well defined theoretical point of view how the interplay between strong correlation and topology can explain some experimental results.
