Hello! My name is Francisco Lobo and I come from Portugal. I was born and raised in Guimarães but then moved to the Invicta city, Porto.
Currently, I am a PhD student in the Theory of Quantum Materials and Solid State Quantum Technologies group under the supervision of Pablo San-José at ICMM. I obtained both my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Physics in Physics at the University of Minho in Braga, Portugal.
I will be working within the field of many-body atosecond physics. I’m interested in the real-time dynamics of generic 2D structures under intense attosecond pulses, mainly on it’s nonlinear response, e.g. real-time formation of excitons and their propagation. Accordingly, the thesis will be heavily focused on the development of numerical codes for the propagation of the reduced density matrix in the presence of such a laser field.
