Rubén Seoane Souto

I am a theoretical physicist with a strong interest in condensed matter physics and material science. My work encompasses a wide range of fundamental and applied aspects, with a particular focus on quantum properties, non-equilibrium dynamics, interactions, and superconductivity. Throughout my career, I have focused on studying the electric and quantum properties of low-dimensional systems, including quantum dots, molecules, and nanowires.

My Ph.D. research, completed in Madrid in 2018, delved into key aspects of the time response of nanodevices, which is critical for fast electronics and quantum information processing. From 2018 to 2022, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Lund University and an external researcher at the University of Copenhagen. During this time, I have focused on using superconductor-semiconductor systems as a platform for quantum devices and exotic topological states of matter.
