Dr. Alexander Misol

Alexander Misol graduated in Chemistry at the University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2014. After finishing his MSc. in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country, he decided to continue his scientific career doing the PhD at the University of Salamanca under the supervision of Dr. Vicente Rives and Dr. Francisco Martín Labajos. In 2022 he defended his doctoral thesis on the study of inorganic nanofillers prepared from LDHs to obtain polymer matrix nanocomposites, which was awarded the best thesis of the RSEQ in the territorial section of Salamanca. After that, he worked for several months as a researcher at the Instituto Tecnológico de Castilla y León on projects related to H2 as an energy vector.
In 2023 he joined the group of Nanostructured Hybrid, Biohybrid and Porous Materials at ICMM-CSIC as a researcher under the supervision of Dr. Pilar Aranda and Dr. Margarita Darder. Now, he is focusing on the synthesis and characterization of hybrid materials as controlled drug delivery systems.
