Guillermo graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in 2023. At the university, he collaborated in the Department of Applied Physical Chemistry, in the group of Electrochemical and Spectroscopic Synthesis and Characterisation of Materials (MATELEC) researching about the development of monolithic reactors by 3D printing for the degradation of antibiotics in wastewater.
In 2024 he obtained a Master’s Degree in Energy and Fuels from the Autonomous University of Madrid based on the emerging energy sources set to be key players in the future. Also in 2024, he joined the group of Porous, Hybrid and Biohybrid Nanostructured Materials at CSIC-ICMM as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Bernd Wicklein and Dr. Cristina Pascual. His doctoral thesis is about the developing of nanogenerators based on
piezoelectric biocomposites obtained by 3D printing and their applications.
