Structure-direction in the synthesis of zeolites

Zeolites are microporous crystalline tectosilicates with important industrial applications in catalysis, cationic exchange processes, and adsorption, separation and purification of gases. Our main interest is on «structure-direction», i.e. on the factors determining which zeolite crystallizes, among millions of alternative hypothetical structures.
