Dr. Luisina Forzani
Luisina joined the NHBPM group at the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) in 2026. She is a project manager and technician for the project Removal of persistent halogenated pollutants by functionalized ultraporous zeolite catalysts (HALZEOCAT-CM), funded by the Comunidad de Madrid.
She earned her BSc in Materials Sciences from the National University of Litoral (UNL), Argentina, in 2014. She obtained her PhD in Physics in 2019 from the UNL, Argentina, with a CONICET doctoral fellowship at the IFIS-Litoral institute (CONICET). She specializes in the fabrication of Nanostructured Porous Materials and the characterization of their physical properties for the development of nanocomposites and devices with multiple applications.
She held a CONICET postdoctoral fellowship (2019-2023) working on Phononic and photonic materials at the CIMEC-CONICET. After moving to Madrid in 2023, she worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the Photonic Crystals group (ICMM-CSIC) until 2025.
