María Vizuete graduated in Chemistry at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) in 2007. After that, she joined the group of Organic Molecular Materials at the Institute of Nanoscience, Nanotechnology and Molecular Materials (INAMOL) of the UCLM. In 2009, she obtained a MSc. in Molecular Nanosciencie and Nanotechnology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). In 2013 she defended her doctoral thesis on carbon nanotubes and carbon nanohorns with optoelectronics applications, which was awarded with the Extraordinary PhD Award of the UCLM for the best doctoral thesis in science. From 2015 to 2017, she held a postdoctoral position in the group of Organic Molecular Materials of INAMOL again. In 2023, she joined the group of Nanostructured Hybrid, Biohybrid and Porous Materials at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) as a postdoctotal researcher under the supervision of Prof. Ruiz-Hitzky and Dr. Pilar Aranda.
