New data published on designed phase-change magnetoelectrics
A new paper have been just published in Materials Science and Engineering B with new insights of the YMnO3-BiFeO3 system, disclosing among other things the evolution of magnetism across this two perovskite solid solution. Besides the demonstration of the coexistence of ferromagnetic and multiferroic phases at room temperature, proposing the existence of a discontinuous morphotropic phase boundary, authors predict room-temperature phase-change magnetoelectric responses.
