New paper in Applied Physics Letters on multiferroic Aurivillius oxides
Our recently published work in Applied Physics Letters deepens into the magnetism and magnetoelectric coupling of the novel Aurivillius (Bi2O2)(Am-1BmO3m+1) compounds with m=3, chemically designed and mechanosynthesized in our group to show room-temperature multiferroism. We have uncovered a rich phenomenology, involving coexisting magnetic orders, along with a Morin-like transition that correlates with the appearance of relaxor-like characteristics.
