In magnetoelectric ceramic composites we can use as piezomagnetic component cobalt ferrites. In this paper that appears in the issue 7 of volume 125 of Journal of Applied Physics we report our recent results on the magnetic, magnetostrictive, and electrical properties of Ga- and Mn-doped cobalt ferrite ceramics. This work is a collaboration with the Physics Department of Universidade Federal de São Carlos (Brazil).
