Recent paper on BiFeO3-based films with narrow bandgaps
In the last number of the Journal of the European Ceramic Society you will find our recent work on the stabilization of Cr-modified BiFeO3 to reduce its bandgap for photovoltaic applications. As it is usually required high pressure to synthesize them, the key was the use of a novel strategy: introduce stress while crystallizating the film. And the results were good as you can read in the paper:
